Boglarka Szabo, Clinical Hypnotherapist

If you’ve landed here, you are probably looking for support with something that feels difficult to change or understand. I want to start by saying that whatever you are experiencing, you are not alone, and I hope you will find the therapist who feels right for you, whether that ends up being me or someone else.

As humans, we are emotional beings, yet we try to solve most of our problems with logic alone and then feel surprised if it doesn’t work. The brain learns from past experiences and creates shortcuts to help us cope. However, what worked in the past is not always applicable to the present, yet the mind can continue using those automatic patterns by default.

This can show up in many ways, such as habits that feel hard to change, anxiety that appears without a clear reason, or reactions that seem stronger than the situation itself. These patterns often operate on a subconscious level, which is where hypnotherapy is used.

Imagine you're standing in the middle of a vast forest at night. You know where you'd like to go, but in the darkness it's difficult to see which direction to take. The forest feels confusing, and it's easy to believe you're completely lost.

What you don't realise is that there are signs on the trees pointing the way. They've been there all along, but without light, they're almost impossible to see.

Now imagine someone hands you a torch. The torch doesn't choose the path for you, and it doesn't walk it on your behalf. It simply helps you see what's already there. One step at a time, the route becomes clearer, and you begin to move forward with more confidence.

That's how I see hypnotherapy.

My role is to use the  knowledge and skills I've gained over the years to help you see the patterns, possibilities, and direction that may have been difficult to recognise on your own. You're still the one taking each step.

That's the kind of therapy I believe in.

If you have any questions or would simply like to find out whether hypnotherapy is the right approach for you, please feel free to get in touch.
